Good to read how well renewables are doing - in this summer of discontent due to no rain or wind, one upside must be solar's chance to shine. I do take exception at your casually racist "surprisingly" in connection with France & its trains though. As someone who lives half her life in France and takes their trains all the time - why should you assume France cannot run trains, or indeed by on time? They invented the TGV for heavens sake, and their train system is light years ahead of ours and a fraction of the cost (plus easy to book). And "the French" are not an unpunctual people either, so why would their trains be? Please be careful. Apart from that - great stuff.
